Building Complete Systems: Why We Design Speakers and Amplifiers Together

Intro

Most audio companies build either amplifiers or speakers—not both. But we believe something is lost when these two halves of the system are designed in isolation. When the amplifier and speaker are tuned together from the start, the result is greater than the sum of its parts.

That’s why we’re building both.

Why System Matching Matters

Every amplifier behaves differently. Tube amps deliver limited current but excel in tone and harmonic detail. Solid-state amps vary from low-powered vintage designs to massive high-current beasts. Class D amplifiers are efficient but require careful speaker matching to avoid harshness. And OTL or current-source designs need speakers with specific impedance behavior to perform at all.

Most speakers aren’t built with any of this in mind. They’re designed for mass compatibility—or worse, for marketing specs—without a deep understanding of how they interact with real-world electronics.

We take a different path.

Our Approach

When we design a speaker, we already know which type of amplifier it’s meant to work with—and we adjust everything accordingly:

  • For tube amps, we build high-efficiency speakers with smooth impedance curves and minimal crossover loss.

  • For OTL and current-source amps, we use series crossovers and driver selections that present a stable load.

  • For solid-state amps, especially older or lower-powered ones, we avoid designs that drop to 2–3 ohms or demand huge bursts of current.

  • For high-powered, modern gear, we offer speakers that can scale dynamically while maintaining musicality.

We’ve even demoed at audio shows with full systems we designed—300B amps driving our speakers, fronted by modest but well-matched DACs and CD transports—and outperformed rigs costing over $250,000.

It’s not about specs. It’s about synergy.

Looking Ahead

We’re planning to release our own line of amplifiers, from restored vintage models to custom-built tube and solid-state designs. We’ll also offer curated system bundles—speakers, amps, and cables—that are tuned to work as one.

You won’t need to guess, mix and match, or read hundreds of reviews. You’ll get a system that just works—and sounds extraordinary.

Conclusion

By designing speakers and amplifiers together, we’re taking control of the entire chain—from power to tone to dynamics. That’s the only way to ensure the result is truly musical. If you want a system that feels custom-tailored to the way you listen, this is how we build it.
